The Smile
After shopping for art supplies I stopped for lunch at an NYC favorite, The Smile, at 26 Bond Street. Started in early 2009 by two friends of mine, Matt Kliegman and Carlos Quirarte, the cozy establishment is increasingly bustling as the years go by. I almost always opt for the harrissa honey roasted chicken breast sandwich.
Copic Ciao Double Ended Markers

I haven't purchased new a set of drawing markers since 2001. Ten years later I finally came to terms with the fact that my remaining few Prismacolors no longer served a purpose save for sitting on a shelf in my living room making me look deceptively artistic. So I trashed them and ventured over to my old stomping grounds on Bond Street where I popped into my favorite american art supply store, Blick. proximity to my old apartment aside, Blick is far more organized and well stocked then it's New York City counterparts. After testing several brands I opted for the Copic Ciao Double Ended Marker Set. My sketches look too beautiful to be my own, further justifying this overdue investment.
